Jared Hilton was born in Kansas City in 1993. His family began attending New Life Pentecostal Church, now known as The Truth Church, in 1995 while his grandfather was serving as pastor. On April 14, 1996, Bishop Gregory K. Riggen became Pastor of the church and has been Pastor Hilton’s Pastor since he was two years old.
At the age of five, while attending youth camp, Pastor Hilton was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. A few days later, he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. At fifteen, he acknowledged his call into the ministry.
To prepare for service, Pastor Hilton spent three years at the Leadership Training Center, known today as ICAT, the Institute of Conservative Apostolic Theology, in San Antonio, Texas. He later graduated from the Apostolic College of Biblical Studies in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In April 2017, he was ordained into the ministry by Bishop Riggen and Bishop Howard.
Pastor Hilton’s early ministry was rooted in youth work and missions. He became Youth Leader at The Truth Church in January 2014 and served in that role until moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in September 2017. While in Colorado Springs, Pastor Hilton served under Pastor John Burgess II. It was there where he met his wife, Andreanna.
During his formative years, he also participated in mission trips to Africa, including ministry with Bishop Riggen and A2Z Missions in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and South Africa.
Pastor Hilton returned to The Truth Church in September 2018 and reassumed the role of Youth Leader. He continued serving the church in leadership for six years and became Associate Pastor in April 2024. On April 14, 2026, exactly thirty years after Bishop Riggen became Pastor, Bishop Riggen installed Jared Hilton as Pastor of The Truth Church.
