The church building is a very special place but the early church didn’t have this privilege. Many church members say they want to be like the early church—but do they really? While they no doubt recognize the importance of the house of worship, do they understand the importance of their OWN homes? Consider the many times throughout the New Testament that make reference to the fact that the early church OFTEN had church in their homes!
Notice where Pentecost took place – where the church was born:

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

The church was BORN in a house. However, that was only the beginning!

Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Acts 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Acts 12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Acts 16:40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

Acts 18:7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.

Acts 20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

Having church in your home is special—and even necessary at times—but it will never take the place of corporate worship that takes place in the church with other believers. The Truth Church is where you will hear preaching that agrees with the apostles and what they taught. We invite you to attend soon OR we can come into your home and teach you—just like they did many years ago!
